Medical Tools

We all know how important first aid kits are in emergencies.  Most of us have them in our medicine cabinets in our homes and somewhere in our cars.  Those of us trained in CPR also have mouth protectors and gloves in easy reach, hoping that we will not have to use them.  And now, in the time of a global pandemic, we have medical tools that cannot be saved for an emergency because all of us are already in one.  Masks, gloves, thermometers, soap, and hand sanitizers are our everyday medical tools that prevent disease transmission.  They are vital components of a global pandemic first aid kit designed to reduce infection rates and the deaths that follow.   We all know how to use bandages to stop a wound from bleeding and similarly we are learning how to use masks to protect ourselves and others from a deadly viral pathogen.  Having to wear a cast on a broken limb is unpleasant but necessary to promote proper healing.  Having to wear a mask is also uncomfortable and inconvenient but also life-saving for ourselves, our loved ones, and our human family.  Eventually casts come off as bones heal and eventually masks will disappear from our faces as we learn how to overcome the coronavirus.  In the meantime, we can use these medical tools to promote health and safety all over the world.

But the issues emerging around using these medical tools are not really about health and safety.  The pandemic is not simply a medical issue.  It is the catalyst for systemic change that has impacted every aspect of our lives, most critically our financial well being.  The Cosmic Light Collective addressed questions about resistance to using these medical tools along with social distancing and they offer us this perspective.  They noted that when you leave your house to interact with the world you are faced with the reality of people wearing masks, sometimes gloves, and social distancing.  Before your eyes, these medical tools confirm that the life that you lead before the coronavirus no longer exists.  The masks symbolize the destabilization and confusion of living through a pandemic that has no definitive end.  When you walk through your community and see businesses that brought joy to your life closing, it is no longer only the people wearing masks that bring distress, it is a way of life that seems to be dissolving that generates fear of loss.  When you balance your checkbook and your stomach turns to knots because the balances are too low to cover your costs, concern for your future naturally arises.

If you looked to these external mechanisms to bring you stability and strength, there is little of both to be found around you.  The desire to run away from this reality and to hang on to what was by denying that this pathogen exists is one response to global trauma.  It is a difficult response that leaves these individuals prone not only to emotional and mental distress but also to greater infection rates and deaths.  This decision also endangers the larger community who must then manage their responses around the decision to deny.  Confronting an individual in denial is generally unsuccessful.  Opening up conversations with individuals struggling with the larger issues impacting them creates pathways to successful change.  Communication encourages connections that lead to behavioral opportunities.  Shaming, blaming, and judging will destroy connections, fuel resistance, and promote conflicts that further lead frightened and unsettled individuals into deeper loss.

For those with the strength and courage to face the challenges the pandemic is creating around the globe, utilizing these medical tools is about protecting the population so that all of us can evolve into a healthier, abundant, and more gracious humanity.  These individuals draw upon their Souls for all the resources they require to see themselves and their loved ones through this pandemic.  They understand the power of grace and utilize it daily to keep themselves aware, empowered, and hopeful.  Their decision to protect and evolve fuels their creativity and encourages collaboration with others who are charting new pathways to future successes.  They are focused upon supporting each other and pooling resources to care for those in need.  Although difficult, they welcome the changes to their personal lives that support a planet in crisis.  They reach out to the spiritual and celestial assistance available and utilize it realign their personal lives knowing that greater good will come for them and their communities.  They understand that the entire human race, all over the planet, is being forced to change so that all can not only survive, but thrive.

In response to this powerful and clear message, I believe that it is important for individuals to be honest about what they believe and how they feel.  Only through honesty can you reach the soulful guidance that promotes courageous movement forward with unconditional love, compassion, and faithfulness.  It takes time to process the powerful emotions that are now occurring and to embrace the unknown with faithfulness.  Engage the support that you need and life will get easier for you even if it continues to be difficult for all.  To hear the entire message from the Cosmic Light Collective listen to: https://fccdl.in/5hHq5t5Jjj

It is in the most challenging of times that we discover the power of our Souls to move through our hearts, minds, and bodies.  I believe in your courage, your graciousness, and your tenacity in creating a world in which we all are healthy, safe, and free to thrive.  In using the medical tools at our disposal we can not only protect each other, we can learn how to love each other in ways that we may have not yet considered.  In every pandemic humanity has faced, we learned.  Whether we discovered how diseases were transmitted, about the necessity for sanitation, or the importance of social distancing for community safety, we learned.  This time around, the coronavirus is forcing us to learn how to transform the way we live so that we can continue living on the Earth.  I treasure this life on this planet at this time.  Thank you for treasuring it too.
