In the week leading up to the election, we asked the Cosmic Light Collective to help us understand what is happening in our country.  Our love for our neighbor, this beautiful land, and the value of democracy lives deep within us.  We choose to serve, to protect, to honor, and to love all who reside in the nation that our Souls chose to be our home.  How to successfully and effectively do that remains a challenge that we willingly embrace.  Together we will learn what it is that we truly need and how it is that we can best provide these necessities for each other.  The Cosmic Light Collective asked each of us to ” expand your awareness to allow multiple levels of truth to inform your choices, and to guide you to a compassionate understanding of what it means to be an American, depending upon where you are, how you’ve lived, what is accessible to you, and whether or not you are acknowledged.”  They respect the challenges that we face in being responsible and kind, intelligent and aware, focused and patient, the essential qualities that will usher in an abundant and peaceful future for this nation.

They spoke about how we have lost faith in our government and linked that to how much we have lost faith in each other.  Personal accountability is the key to believing in each other once again.  It opens the door to what we can collectively create because it develops trust. In learning how democracy works through an enlightened population, we will begin to celebrate and protect the wellbeing of all.  Here are the questions they suggested we ask each other:

So tell me what’s happening for you?
So what’s going on in your world lately?
If you were to describe your perfect day, what would it look like?
What’s your vision of your perfect life?

In listening to these answers we can hear the hopes and dreams along with the challenges and failures that have shaped the lives of the citizens who are our family, friends, and neighbors.  We can experience who they are in what has happened to them and learn to understand the bigger picture in which their lives are unfolding, the bigger picture in which our lives intersect with theirs.  Understanding develops relationships and creates respectful intimacy which allows for collaboration to become a lived experience of developing community.  We then expand who we are, explore the possibilities that we can create, and discover the soul-empowered, enlightened choices that allow each other and our nation to thrive.  Interestingly, the Cosmic Light Collective commented that the coronavirus is continuing because we are not yet listening.  For us, Covid-19 is a tremendous teacher of patience, of awakening, of understanding what the journey entails to come to a place of collective healing.  We choose to participate in healing our nation by taking responsibility for healing ourselves, deepening our understanding of the wounds of those around us, and providing the tools that empower every citizen to fulfill themselves.  We choose to honor the power of the Soul that lives in each one of us to overcome every obstacle that stands in the way of peaceful abundance in a thriving democracy.
